  I rated this place one star, because it wouldn't let me rate it zero stars. Not that I know if it's any better or worse than any other cruel battery cage egg laying 'farm'. They are all incredibly cruel. Please do not buy eggs from this 'farm'. It's a battery cage operation. The chickens live in wire-floor cages, 5-7 birds are literally stuffed into each cage. They have not even enough room to raise their wings in these cages, No opportunity to express their natural behavior. Their suffering throughout their lives is immense. (Youtube search 'battery cage' and see for yourself.) They spend their entire short lives in these cruel conditions. At 12 to 18 months of age they are called 'spent hens'. Their egg laying rate drops off, so they are discarded. They're killed -- they're ground up alive by tossing them into a macerator, which is pretty much a wood-chipper. (youtube search 'chicken macerator' and see for yourself.) About 90% of the eggs in stores come from battery cage operations like this one. Please don't buy eggs from here. And Please consider not eating eggs at all. A plant-based, vegan diet is one free from cruelty like this.Things like ground flax seed, and hemp seed, and many others can easily be substituted for eggs. I've not eaten eggs for 30+ years. Be the animal loving, caring person you'd like to be. Compassion is an action word.

  My best and freshest eggs in town love their double yolkers ,prices are good.
